Gregg DeGroat is working on a new series of watercolor/pencil portraits of iconic celebrities. What makes this series unique is first of all, the style. DeGroat is developing a "Lively Line" style integrating watercolor washes (sometimes monochromatic) and very active, almost animated pencil work. Secondly, he is painting two portraits of each celebrity — one younger and an older version. When to stop? Who knows — maybe never!
